FOOL SKOOL

Orchestrion

On my second album I experimented with a micro-composing technique, creating snippets of fully arranged music, loading them into the sampler and then playing them like notes into the sequencer. Layering conventional electronic music techniques over top of this, a unique soundscape emerged. I also played with a wider range of genres, time signatures and tempi, adding techno and ambient feels.

At the time i was living in a rehearsal space in downtown Toronto. Punk and rock raged around me night and day from the other rooms, and some of that edge found its way onto the record.

Cover art again by the talented Kevin Kirk. Mastered by Noah Mintz. Still very proud of this album!
